1. Every T/O is optional – landings are mandatory.
2. Gravity is a law – it’s not optional.
3. Never let an aeroplane take you somewhere, where your brain did not arrive first.
4. When in doubt, maintain altitude; no one ever collided with the sky.
5. The only time you have too much fuel is when you are on fire.
6. Learn from the mistakes of others. You won’t live long enough to make all of them yourself.
7. The most useless things for a pilot are: altitude above you, runway behind you and the airspace in the tank.
